Cameron Mitchell Restaurants To Open A New Mexican Street Food-Inspired Restaurant

The interior space of 698 N. High Street when the space was Harvey & Ed's.

Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is launching a new concept in the Short North.

El Segundo Mexican Kitchen is the newest eatery to come out of the CMR family. The restaurant will be the first Mexican restaurant concept for the company and will open on Tuesday, August 31.

The restaurant will have a Mexican-inspired atmosphere and will feature vibrant street art on the historic brick walls of 698 N. High Street. The space used to house Harvey & Ed’s an NYC-inspired deli by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants.

El Segundo will feature a menu inspired by authentic Mexican street food and made with fresh, responsibly sourced and local ingredients. Tortillas, sauces, and signature ingredients will be made from scratch and the food will be easily shared with family and friends.

The concept will have plenty of delicious drinks to choose from, including a collection of craft and Mexican beers, an approachable wine list, and a large variety of mezcal and tequila.

Cameron Mitchell Restaurants has begun the hiring process for the new restaurant and they are hoping to fill 70 new positions. El Segundo opens on August 31 and will be open for dinner and weekend brunch.
