Test Out The Gear At Eddie Bauer In The New Eddie Bauer Ice Box

Eddie Bauer, the active outdoor brand, has announced the grand opening of their newly redesigned store in Easton Town Center. On Thursday, March 23, 2017, the store will reopen its doors. Eddie Bauer will host grand opening festivities on Saturday which will include camping related challenges and prizes to be won.

The coolest feature of the store will be the Eddie Bauer Ice Box, pun intended. The 8-by-8 foot structure has the ability to reach 10 degrees Fahrenheit and includes fans to simulate windchill.

Customers will now have the chance to test Eddie Bauer products in the cold before they leave the store.

The Eddie Bauer Ice Box was inspired by an odd practice of the founder of the company. To ensure that customers were receiving a high-quality product, Eddie Bauer would send his employees to cold storage lockers. Employees would wear Eddie Bauer merchandise to make sure it could withstand the cold temperatures it claimed it could.

The Easton location is the second location to receive an Eddie Bauer Ice Box. The first store to get the giant freezer is located in Washington.

Eddie Bauer offers an array of outerwear, apparel, footwear, gear and accessories that, according to the press release, “enable people to live their adventure.”

Ohio did not see much of its usual frigid winter temperatures this year. So if for some crazy reason you missed the cold, and you’re planning a camping trip in the frozen tundra, stop by Eddie Bauer and get the gear you’ll need.
