These Last Dog Swims Of The Season Are Perfect For Your Paddlin’ Pooch

It’s the season for soaking up the sun and hitting the pool, and it will be gone before we know it. Take advantage of the summer weather before it becomes a distant memory, and make sure you know where you can take your pooch for a good doggy paddle before the season ends.


Dog Splash

What: For $5 per pup (cash only) you can have a blast with your furry friends. You’ll have to provide proof of rabies and current vaccinations.
When: Monday, September 3 from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Where: Pickerington Community Pool, 11330 Stonecreek Dr., Pickerington, OH 43147.

Paws in the Pool

What: Cost is $5 per pup. You’ll have to provide proof of current vaccinations and sign a liability waiver.
When: Tuesday, September 4 — Small Dogs (under 50 lbs.): 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Large Dogs (over 50 lbs.): 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Where: Bexley Pool, 2100 Clifton Ave., Bexley, OH 43209.

Dog Swim — Marysville

What: Dogs only in the pool. Sorry, FurMom and FurDad.
When: Tuesday, September 4 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Where: Marysville Municipal Pool, 510 Park Ave., Marysville, OH 43040.

Pooch Pond — Dublin

What:  Admission is $5 per dog for residents and $7 per dog for resident guests. You can get free admission with a donation. They will be accepting dry or canned cat and dog food and lightly used fleece blankets.
When:  Wednesday, September 5 — Small Dogs (under 50 lbs.): 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Large Dogs (over 50 lbs.): 6:45 – 7:45 p.m.
Where: Dublin Community Pool South, 6363 Woerner Temple Rd., Dublin, OH 43017.

Dog Paddle Palooza

What: This is $2 per doggo, but you, the human,  get in free. You’ll need to provide an up-to-date vaccination record. This one’s just for Fido, so you won’t be allowed in the pool.
When: Thursday, September 6 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Where: Groveport Aquatic Center, 7370 Groveport Rd., Groveport, OH 43125.

Doggie Dip

What: Entry fee is $5 per dog. Have current tags and up-to-date vaccinations with you.
When: Sunday, September 9 —  Small Dogs: 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Large Dogs: 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Where: Hunters Ridge Pool, 341 Harrow Blvd., Gahanna, OH 43230.

Doggie Paddle

What: Again, $5 per bean. You’ll need to bring proof of license and immunizations.
When: Sunday, September 9 — Small Dogs (under 25 lbs.): 1:30-2:30 p.m. All Dogs: 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Where: Highlands Park Aquatic Center, 245 S. Spring Rd., Westerville, OH 43081.
