Two New Cameron Mitchell Restaurants Are Opening This April, Including A Rooftop Bar

Cameron Mitchell Restaurants will be launching two new concepts this spring.

Del Mar SoCal Kitchen and Lincoln Social Rooftop will both be located in the Lincoln building in the heart of the Short North Arts District. Both concepts are expected to open in April with an impressive management team, including Executive Chef Sonny Pache and General Manager Laurie Kniess, who is currently slaying it at one of the best CMR restaurants, The Pearl.

Del Mar is going to be a full-service restaurant, bringing the best California-inspired dishes and drinks to Columbus. Food freshness will be crucial at Del Mar, which will be a dinner-only restaurant with an abundance of vegetarian and gluten-free food options.

“We gather inspiration from all over the country when developing a new concept,” said Brian Hinshaw, senior vice president of food and beverage. “This is the kind of restaurant you would typically find in Laguna Beach and we wanted to put it in the heart of Columbus. The menu is fresh, fun and a vegetarian’s dream. From coastal dishes such as poke bowls and conks on ice, to veggie creations and handhelds such black bean burgers and lobster rolls to shaved ice desserts, we are enjoying the development process for this mouthwatering menu.”

Rooftop patios are still on trend, and now CMR is getting in on the action. Lincoln Social Rooftop will have a great view of the Columbus skyline and awesome features like a retractable roof and fire pit.

The lounge will offer handcrafted cocktails and small bites to eat.

“This is the first concept of its kind within the CMR family of restaurants,” said Hinshaw. “We look forward to creating a rooftop experience unlike any other Columbus has seen.”

An elevator in the Lincoln building will transport guests between the restaurants, making it even easier to plan the perfect night out.

The Lincoln Building is located at 711 N. High Street.
