A Cleveland Favorite Is Finally Serving Up Out-Of-This-World Subs In Columbus

This one goes out to all of the Northeastern Ohio transplants living here in Columbus.

Our fair city finally has our own Dave’s Cosmic Subs. The restaurant, which opened recently on North High Street, is here in all of its tie-dye glory. Chris May, along with his family, decided to bring the franchise to the heart of campus at The Ohio State University.

May and his family are from northeast Ohio, and they knew what we’d all been missing. The Cosmic menu has a huge variety to choose from with 30+ items, including subs, desserts, fries, and Cosmic Dave’s sodas.

The restaurant itself is funky and fun, with bright pops of color throughout and art, memorabilia, and even musical instruments adorning the walls. When I say they’re in the heart of campus, I truly mean it. Located just across the street from the student union and The Oval.

“Gameday was absolutely insane,” May told me with a chuckle.

The Original Cosmic Dave’s opened in Chagrin Falls in 1997, but now, the sub franchise has spread to four states and is still growing.

Columbus’s own Dave’s Cosmic Subs is open at 1766 N. High Street. The restaurant will offer takeout, catering, and delivery through Uber Eats and DoorDash. They accept cash, cards and BuckID.
