Columbus Symphony Orchestra Introduces Their Summer Night Music Series

The Summer Night Music series will feature three nights of classical music in July.

The Columbus Symphony Orchestra has just announced “Summer Night Music”, an indoor summer concert series of light classics brought together by the Ohio Arts Council. For three nights in July, the symphony will be playing at the Southern Theatre and the Worthington McConnell Arts Center.

Their first show, “A Summer Serenade”, will feature the wind players as a stand-alone ensemble, covering the likes of Dvorak and Stravinsky on July 7 at the McConnell Arts Center. On July 13 The Columbus Symphony Orchestra’s string section will be playing a night of Mozart at the Southern Theatre in a show entitled, “A Little Night Music”. Finally, the orchestra will wrap up their series with “Rossen Conducts Mozart”. The concert will debut local pianist and Capital University professor Orlay Alonso, directed by Rossen Milanov.

Tickets will be $25 in advance with $30 at the door and will go on sale May 8. You can purchase them at the CAPA Ticket Center as well as Ticketmaster. For more information visit the symphony’s website at columbussymphony.com
