The Columbus Jazz Orchestra is opening its 2017-2018 season with a 3-day, 45th Anniversary Extravaganza.

Saxophonist Joshua Redman will be joined by the CJO, performing the world premiere of new work by jazz bassist, composer, and bandleader John Clayton.

The performance will also feature Columbus native, pianist Micha Thomas. Guests can also expect interactive art by Stephen Pariser, a display of photographs chronicling the history of the Columbus Jazz Orchestra throughout the years.

The 45th Anniversary Extravaganza will run from October 12 through October 15. The concerts will take place downtown at the Southern Theatre. Tickets start at $18 and are available here.

Let’s get jazzy, Columbus!
