Columbus Firefighters Helped A Mom Safely Deliver Her Baby On 315

Columbus firefighters came to quite the rescue earlier this month.

On October 11, Columbus Fire crew members from stations 6 and 27 responded to a call of a woman in labor on the side of State Route 315 freeway.

Julian Juan Torres was impatient to get into the world, but luckily the firefighters were on hand to deliver the healthy newborn, who clocked in at 9 and a half pounds and 20.5 inches long.

After a couple of weeks, Julian and his family stopped by Station 27 to say thanks in person, posed for a photo op, and then proceeded to make our day a little brighter with the heartwarming story of his birth.

Congratulations and welcome to the world, Julian!
