Columbus Film “Poser” To Premiere At Tribeca Next Month

Columbus film production company Loose Films will debut a new feature film at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York next month.

Directed by Ori Segev and Noah Dixon, Poser will premiere on June 10. The film was one of six chosen from over 4,000 submissions to compete in the U.S. Narrative Competition program, making it one of the best-of-the-best.

The making of the film has been a two year labor of love, with contributions in front of and behind the camera from a variety of talented artists across Columbus.

Poser is about Lennon, a young woman who exists timidly on the sidelines of the thriving Columbus indie music scene, yearning for a personal connection that might shepherd her into the inner sanctum of warehouse concerts, exclusive backstage gatherings, house parties and the cutting-edge art scene. The film stars Sylvie Mix, an incredible breakout talent, as Lennon and Bobbi Kitten, charismatic local musician and half of Damn the Witch Siren, as a version of herself.

“We were particularly thrilled by the idea of making a film in which the real musicians we’ve met played exaggerated versions of themselves. It was humbling to see so many talented artists and musicians working together on one project. So excited to share Poser with the world,” said Brett Reiter, one of the film’s producers, in a press release.

Poser will premier Thursday, June 10 at Hudson Yards in New York City at 8 p.m., and will be available online through the Tribeca Film Festival beginning June 11. For more information, you can go to the Tribeca Film Festival Website.
