Steel Vengeance is the world’s first hyper-hybrid roller coaster. So what does that mean? It’s the first wood-steel hybrid coaster, with a first drop that is taller than 200 feet.
The coaster breaks 10 world records, including the most airtime on any roller coaster, tallest hybrid roller coaster, fastest hybrid roller coaster, and longest hybrid coaster.
The coaster’s first drop is 205 ft tall, the track is 5,740 feet long, all with a maximum speed of 74 mph. Steel Vengeance took over Cedar Point’s all wooden coaster, Mean Streak.
