CBUS To NOLA: Direct Flights From Southwest Airlines

Mardis Gras may be over for this year, but it’s never too late to start planning for 2018. And that process was just made a whole lot easier thanks to Southwest Airlines. Beginning April 30th, the airline will offer direct flights from John Glen International to Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans.

The weekly direct flight will depart Columbus on Sunday at 7:25 PM and arrives in NOLA at 8:40 PM. The return flight is also on Sunday, leaving New Orleans at 3:40 PM and touching down in Columbus at 6:50 PM. At the time of publication, we even saw a few of these flights to New Orleans for just $99 with a return trip at $197 through Southwest’s “Wanna Get Away” ticket option.

This is the first direct flight from Columbus to New Orleans out of John Glen International although Allegiant Air does offer a bi-weekly flight out of Rickenbacker, on Monday and Friday.

Affordable prices and convenient, consistent weekend schedules offer both Columbus and New Orleans residents the opportunity to explore to great cities for less money and wasting less time with stops or layovers. It also has to be mentioned that these flights could be an amazing purchase for dedicated Buckeye fans next year, should Ohio State be fortunate enough to make the playoffs! Can we get an O-H?
