Here’s How You Can Get An Inside Look At Some Of The Most Iconic Theatres In Columbus

This year, CAPA is celebrating their 50th anniversary.

As part of that celebration, CAPA is offering free open house walking tours of some of their most iconic institutions, the Ohio, Souther, and Palace Theatres. The theatres will be open on Saturday, July 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. for self-guided tours that include access to all sorts of fun areas, including the stages.

Have questions? Don’t worry! Local docents will be around in all of the theatres to answer your questions and to offer up historical information and some fun facts about the venues!

The event is rain or shine and you don’t need a reservation. You can do the tour in whatever order you’d like and it’s free for everyone! The only stipulation is that large bags and backpacks are prohibited!

If you want to participate in the tour, you can pick up a program and have it stamped at each of the stops. Once you’ve collected all three stamps, you can bring the tour program to the CAPA Ticket Center to receive a free pair of tickets to the 2019 CAPA Summer Movie Series during their hours of operation between July 13-20. You can use your tickets at any screening you choose!
