Cameron Mitchell Developing New Restaurant Concept In Short North

A new Cameron Mitchell restaurant concept will be moving into the Short North next spring. Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) has signed a lease with the Wood Companies, marking their fourth restaurant collaboration.

“It is an honor to work with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants on another destination restaurant that will offer an additional new dining experience to the Short North,” said Mark Wood, president of The Wood Companies, in a statement. “We held this space for a long time, and turned away a lot of users who did not have the same vision for the neighborhood that we did. This new concept will add even more energy to this block in its strategic and highly visible location across the street from the 711 N High office tower.”

The new restaurant will be located at 698 N. High Street in the Short North Arts District, the former site of Rigsby’s Kitchen, an iconic Columbus eatery that closed back in 2015. The new space is expected to be open by Spring of 2018. CMR and The Wood Companies most notably developed The Pearl. Two additional concepts will be opening at 711 N. High Street in fall of 2018.

711 N High Street is a mixed-use building that will include 87,000 square feet of office space and two Cameron Mitchell restaurants, one at street level, and one on the rooftop. The 9-story building will be the tallest in the Short North.
