Buckeye Lake Brewery Is The Perfect Spot To Grab A Summer Beer

It is not hard to find a great craft beer in Columbus, but sometimes, you just need to shake things up. May I recommend you shake things all the way over to Buckeye Lake?

There you will find Buckeye Lake Brewery, a lakeside tap room with a personality all its own. The vibes are incredibly different than any downtown brewery, it’s honestly hard to believe you’re only about 30 minutes from the city. It’s got that laid back vintage lake house feeling and it’s the kind of place you could definitely spend a whole afternoon just hanging out.

The beers are also top notch. Rich Hennosy has been making fresh brews at Buckeye Lake for 8 years and there’s a reason this place has stuck. They serve a wide range of craft brews. From their Shovelhead 2x IPA to their Black Diamond Imperial Stout, there is something for everyone. We recommend grabbing a flight to try out a few. For the summer, don’t miss out on their bobbers, a giant frozen fresh juice ice cube that slowly infuses citrus goodness into your beer as it melts.

With all that beer drinking, you’re likely to get hungry! Buckeye Lake Brewery recently expanded their guest space (moving their brew tanks to a separate building) and added the Chef Shack, a local pop-up where you can grab some grub. Our recommendations are the wings and beer cheese pretzel bites to snack on with your crew.

You might want to work off some of that eating and drinking you say? The actual lake is a quick walk from the bar. Hop on the new walking path, spanning 4 miles around the lake. It’s a great way to take in some of the additional sights of the area too! You can even bring your pup, because Buckeye lake Brewery has dog- friendly patios!

See you there?

Buckeye Lake Brewery is located at 5176 Walnut Road in Buckeye Lake. You can find more information about them on their website.
