Mediterranean restaurant Brassica will be opening in Bexley. The space at 2212 E Main St. used to house Cosi, and has been sitting vacant since the company filed for bankruptcy in September 2016.
Brassica has one location already in the Short North. The restaurant is owned by Kevin & Katy Malhame and Kevin’s brother, Darren Malhame. The same trio brought North Star Cafe to life in Columbus.
The menu at Brassica is a mixture of sandwiches, salads, and hummus plates, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options to please the masses. When Brassica first opened in the Short North in 2015, it was met with rave reviews and quickly became a favorite in the neighborhood.
According to Bexley City Councilman Troy D. Markham, the space is already being renovated and will open at the end of the year.
