Two Columbus Favorites Named In The 100 Best Restaurants for Wine Lovers in America

Winter is coming, and we all know what that means. It’s time for…

Being a wine lover isn’t hard. In fact, it’s arguably the easiest relationship I’ve ever had. But finding good wine isn’t always a breeze.

If you’re on the hunt for the best “wine and dine” experience of your life, a comprehensive list of The 100 Best Restaurants for Wine Lovers in America 2018 by OpenTable will come in handy. Ohio had 5 restaurants that made the cut with two right here in Columbus.

Both The Refectory Restaurant & Bistro and Mitchell’s Ocean Club at Easton were honored this year. The list is generated from over 12 million verified OpenTable diner reviews of over 28,000 restaurants around the United States.

Three other Ohio restaurants made the cut, including:

The Bistro at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, Ohio
Carlo & Johnny in Cincinnati, Ohio
    Pier W in Cleveland, Ohio

If you’re assuming it’s an honor most states win, you’d be wrong. According to OpenTable,

“New York is the most recognized state, with 12 restaurants on the list, followed by California with ten and Nevada and Texas with eight apiece. Additional states represented include Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, and the district of Washington, D.C.”

Even if you aren’t a lover of wine, you have to admit, it always feels good to beat Michigan at something.
