Do you long for the days of Bernie’s never changing speech about income inequality? If so, you’re in luck.
Sen. Bernie Sanders will be holding a rally on Sunday, June 25 at Express Live. Sanders will be speaking to the public about the state of healthcare after the release of the Senate health care bill this morning. (Read the bill in it’s entirety at CNN.com)
Sanders’ goal is to put pressure on Sen. Rob Portman who’s vote could make all the difference in defeating the Senate Bill.
“We cannot be throwing millions off of health care, slashing Medicaid and defunding Planned Parenthood as the Republican bill is trying to do. Our job is to rally millions of Americans against this disastrous bill to make sure that it does not pass the Senate,” said Sen. Sanders in a Facebook statement.
“We must guarantee health care as a right to every American, not a privilege for the wealthy.”
Hosted by Bernie Sanders and MoveOn.org, the doors will open at 10 a.m. on Sunday. The event is free and open to the public, but organizers encourage attendants to RSVP here. Attendance is first come, first served.
Here’s hoping something magical happens.
