Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson To Visit Columbus Wednesday

Cabinet members visit Ohio to assure constituents and promote administration progress.

Housing and Urban Development Secretary, Ben Carson will be visiting Columbus this Wednesday as the first 100 days of the Donald Trump administration draws to a close. Scheduled as a part of a national listening tour, Secretary Carson has been meeting with developers and program administrators to get a feel for his new cabinet position and to gauge the urban landscape.

The Secretary’s visit comes as a part of President Trump’s scramble to show progress on several promises he made to the American people. The 100-day plan that the President himself referred to as a “Contract With The American Voter”, boasted sweeping changes to healthcare, congressional term limits, and taxes. Trump recently has called the 100- day standard “ridiculous”, despite setting the standard himself.

Earlier this week U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao also visited Ohio, in an effort to reassure transportation workers and Ohio constituents and promote the administration’s progress.
