The Bellwether Fest Is Basically Just Ohio’s Bonnaroo, And You Won’t Want To Miss It

If there’s one thing I’ve learned this year, it’s that Ohio has no shortage of music festivals.

I never really thought of the Buckeye State as a hotbed for music festivals, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Last week, Bellwether Festival announced the full lineup for their late summer fest, and it looks so amazing.

Beach House, Cake, Cold War Kids, Guided by Voices, and so many more will head to the Ohio Renaissance Festival Grounds in Waynesville August 9-10.

Bellwether will have a large camping area and a Camper’s Village which includes a general store, a charging station (with WIFI!), portable bathrooms, and prepared foods.

Rumor has it there will even be rock n’ roll jousting. I’m not entirely sure what that means, but it sounds like the makings of a pretty epic weekend.

The best part of this fest is the price. It’s only $99 for a two-day pass, which in the realm of festivals, is pretty darn cheap. Camping is an additional cost, but the options are equally affordable.
