Bake Me Happy Is Moving To A New Spot In The South End

Bake Me Happy has found a new home.

The popular gluten-free bakery will be moving into the abandoned post office on E. Whittier later this summer.

Bakery owner Letha Pugh told the Dispatch that staying in the area where they’ve built up such a loyal fanbase was important to them. “We love the South Side. We feel like it’s been really supportive of us, and hopefully they’ll continue to be supportive,” Pugh told the Dispatch.

Bake Me Happy opened at its current location on E Moler Street back in 2014 and has become one of the most popular local businesses in the area.

The post office that used to call the space at 500 E. Whittier home closed in 2019 and the building has remained empty ever since. Bake Me Happy will remain open at their current location until June or July, making the transition to the new space after that.
