What happens when you combine contemporary dance, aerial arts, fashion design, and a multimedia environment together? Anna and the Annadroids.
The dance and aerial company will be premiering its new, edgy and emotional production, Multiverse in Columbus this April. Multiverse will explore the ideas of parallel universes, time travel, black holes, and other scientific theories through art, dance, and music.
The show is presented by CAPA at the Riffe Center’s Studio One, Thursday, April 12 through Saturday, April 14. The show will go on nightly at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 (discounts available for students and seniors) and they can be purchased here.
There will also be a Multiverse comic book for sale at each performance. The book was illustrated by Columbus College of Art & Design professor, Uko Smith and tells the story of the production’s journey and more.
Anna and The Annadroids are based bicoastally in Oakland, California and Columbus. After it’s Columbus premiere, Multiverse will head to San Francisco. Annadroids from both Columbus and Oakland will perform for both engagements.
