Ambrose & Eve Will Be Your New Favorite Brunch Spot

There are few things I love in this world more than breakfast food.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but not just because it fuels your body. It’s a great way to start the morning, the food can be both sweet and savory, and it almost always involves coffee.

If you’re anything like me and you sleep in way later than you should, breakfast often becomes brunch. Brunch is great because on the rare occassion that you’re not feeling breakfast, you can always find something on the menu that has a “later in the day” sort of vibe.

Now that we’ve got all that out of the way, we can finally talk about a delicious restaurant that is going to become your next brunch obsession.

Ambrose & Eve is finally open at 716 S. High St., and with it comes a delicious menu for all hours of the day. But because of my aforementioned love of breakfast (have I made that point clear enough yet?) I decided to head over when they opened at 11 a.m.

Before we even get to the food, I just want to mention the beautiful design and vibe of Ambrose & Eve. The restaurant is so warm and inviting that it feels more like you’re popping by a loved one’s kitchen for a bite than going out to eat. It’s cozy and bright and family pictures around the space make you feel right at home.

Okay now we can talk about the food. The brunch menu is awesome. Their all about “Americana” style cuisine at Ambrose & Eve and it’s definitely the kind of place where everyone in your party will find something they like.

On our visit, we opted for the Cereal Milk Pancakes (made with the milk from Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal) and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich was pure heaven, served on a delicious biscuit with a hot honey butter sauce.

Of course, nothing could have prepared us for the majesty of the pancakes. They were literal cakes and absolutely massive. Our server actually let us know that in future, they’d be serving only one instead of two because they were so filling.

Overall, brunch at Ambrose & Eve was every bit delcious as I thought it would be. The service was great and the food was delightful, plus they were playing some awesome music. For more info or to make a reservation, please click here.
