The A&F Challenge Is So Much More Than A Company Festival

The A&F Challenge is just one of those events I feel like more people should know about.

Where else can you attend an epic concert, ride in a hot air balloon, drink a beer, and help raise money to change the lives of kids all in one place?

What is the A&F Challenge you ask? It’s Abercrombie & Fitch Co’s camp-inspired music festival fundraiser held on their campus.

The event benefits SeriousFun Children’s Network, a Global Community of Camps that serve kids with serious illnesses at no cost to their families. That’s something I can get behind!

We have an affiliated camp right here in Central Ohio. Flying Horse Farms is located in Mt. Gilead and has everything from boating to high ropes to arts & crafts. Their website states, “each activity is designed to ensure every camper can participate and feel a sense of pride, accomplishment and freedom” and I just love that.

Over the years, the event has grown from a small fundraiser to a full-fledged festival that’s truly a one of a kind experience. Guests can expect to get a small taste of camp life recreated for the Challenge. You can take a shot at archery, zip line across the campus, try your hand at axe throwing, and get crafty with DIY apparel items.

On top of that, there are seven musical performances on their main stage alone. This year’s headliners include Galantis, Misterwives, and A R I Z O N A, along with a whole stage dedicated to acoustic acts.

New to the event this year is a Beer Garden built by Rhinegeist and a fireworks show to end the night.

The partnership between A&F and SeriousFun launched in 2016 and in that short time they’ve already raised over $12 million for the Children’s Network, providing so much joy for kids who truly need it!

The main event is happening Friday, September 6th on the Abercrombie & Fitch campus in New Albany. You can learn more about the A&F Challenge and how to get involved right here on their website.
