Abercrombie & Fitch Will Open A “Learning Lab” Store On Campus

New Albany-based retailer and pre-teen dream wardrobe creators Abercrombie & Fitch are testing a new kind of store on campus.

Aiming to corner the college-aged market, A&F will be opening two campus-specific stores in August 2018: One at the University of Southern Californa and one at The Ohio State University. The new concept will feature smaller stores, but customers will still have access to the company’s entire catalog.

“Our campus stores, built on a small footprint and with full omni-functionality, will also serve as unique learning labs, providing us with insights into driving productivity from more compact stores, omnichannel integration, and leveraging store-centric experiential marketing,” Abercrombie & Fitch Brand President Stacia Andersen said in a release.

The store will be moving into 1614 N. High Street, in the heart of the Gateway district.

“We are thrilled that Abercrombie & Fitch has selected Gateway – University District as one of only two locations for the debut of its new concept,” said Christiana Moffa, property manager of Gateway-University District. “We are already hearing from Gateway customers who are intrigued by this “learning lab” approach so we are confident they’ll connect with a lot of their audience here.”
