10 Restaurants Anyone New To Columbus Should Know About

These 10 restaurants practically define food in Columbus

Columbus has its fair share of restaurant favorites. Certain diners are just a staple for anyone who’s actually lived here for any extended period of time. They’re the places you take anyone for an authentic taste of the city and the places you keep coming back to because they’re good, they’re cheap, and, hey, you don’t feel like cooking.

These ten restaurants are the foundation of food in this city and are a must try for anyone new in town. Trust me, there’s no way you can go wrong with these joints.

Johnnie’s Tavern

Home of the Super Burger and a darn good place for mozzarella cheese sticks.

Dirty Franks

Where: 248 S 4th St, Columbus, OH 43215
What to try: The Ohioana.

Los Guachos

The biggest draw to Los Guachos is the huge rotating, slow roasted, slab of pork and pineapple they use for the taco a pastor.
Where: 5221 Godown Rd. Columbus, OH 43235 and 1376 Cherry Bottom Rd. Gahanna, OH 43230
What to try: The Original Taco Al Pastor

Columbus, OH 43214
What to try:  The Holy Hot Chicken Dark Meat

Ringside

An old bar and diner with a whole boxing motif going on. Not only are these burgers some of the best in town, they’re also a real knock out (terrible pun intended).
Where:  19 N Pearl St, Columbus, OH 43215
What to try: The ALI

Fish and Chicken Inn

What to try: Try the Whole Wings Combo, with jumbo shrimp, 2 sides, and a can of pop.
