Brace your bellies Columbus, the second annual Burger & Beer Week kicks off this September 25 to 30. That’s right, restaurants across the city will be offering a special gourmet burger at each establishment for just six bucks. And as if that deal couldn’t get any sweeter, each restaurant will be offering beer specials as well, so you can wash all that ground beef goodness down with something tall and frosty.
There are more than 50 restaurants participating this year, making it pretty hard to narrow down your choices of which awesome burgers to try before the event runs out. But don’t worry, we’re backing you up with a fist full of tasty burgers suggestions that we know you’re just gonna love. So here you are, the ten burger you absolutely gotta try during this year’s Burger & Beer Week.
Arch City– Arch City Burger
The Arch City Burger has that simple but elegant design that you just can’t help but love. We’re talking a blend of short rib, sirloin, chuck, brisket with peppercorn bacon, avocado, muenster cheese, grilled onions, cilantro, and chile aioli. Comes with your choice of either a Seventh Son or Wolf’s Ridge for $4.

Grandview Cafe– Cafe Diner Burger
Grandview Cafe is known for making some pretty mean burgers and their Cafe Diner Burger won’t disappoint either. It comes dressed up for the ball in iceberg lettuce, pickle, caramelized onion, tomato, American cheese, and special sauce all stacked on a brioche bun. For $6 you can get either a Seventh Son or Columbus Brewing Company draft to come with it.

Pat & Gracie’s– Chimichurri
Pat & Gracie’s is becoming pretty famous for their Chimichurri burger and it’s no wonder. This burger stands out with its two beef patties, Monterey jack cheese, avocado, caramelized onions, and chimichurri sauce, all on a butter-toasted bun. Wash it all down with a $5 Scientist draft from Seventh Son or Columbus Brewing Company’s IPA.

Bodega– Big Mic
The Big Mic at Bodega is practically a Short North staple, and if you haven’t had one by now it’s about time you gave it a go. This classic comes with two patties, cheese, lettuce and that oh so yummy special sauce. Your choice of a Seven Son or Columbus Brewing Company draft comes with it for $6.

Flip Side– PB and J Burger
This burger is too weird of a combination not to try. The gonzo creation comes with applewood smoked bacon, habanero strawberry jelly, and peanut butter, all on a brioche sesame seed bun. Yeah, exactly. And don’t forget your beer options. Choose either a Wolf’s Ridge, Seventh Son, North High Brewing, or CBC brew for just $5.

Soul at the Joseph– Soul Burger
This burger gets super fancy with the toppings. It comes equipped and loaded with Nueske’s bacon, manchego cheese, mesclun greens, pickled zucchini, and lemon and garlic aioli. You can also get a $3 draft of Seventh Son or Wolf’s Ridge bottle.

Stack City Burger– Three Little Pigs Burger
None one’s gonna huff and puff and blow this meat stack down, at least not easily. If you face off with this behemoth you’ll be squaring up against bacon marmalade, bacon mayo, lettuce, tomato, cheddar, and, oh yeah, a strip of bacon just to top it off. There are three different $4 beers to choose from including The Humulus Nimbus by Seventh Son, Day Break by Wolf’s Ridge, and Wildcard! by North High Brewing.

Kraft House No. 5– The Garlic Pepper Corn Burger
Kraft House No. 5 brings out their big guns with their Garlic Peppercorn Burger. It comes packed with a lot of flavor and ingredients like garlic, black peppercorn, blue cheese, red onion jam, and oven-dried tomato. A $5 Seventh Son pairs off with it pretty nicely too.

Copious– Copious Royale
Call me a sucker for any burger with a nice, runny, fried egg on it. The aptly named Copious Royale comes topped with your egg, white cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, and house dressing. Follow up all that protein with a beer from Seventh Son or North High and it will only run you $5.

Three Sheets– Ambrose and Eve Burger
Here’s a simple but delicious burger for all of you beef sammie puritans out there. The Ambrose and Eve dresses simply with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and special sauce. And what better to come with your all American burger than an American Strong Ale by Seventh Son, costing you just a measly $4.
